Subject: SCHRADERS' PRAYER LTR OCTOBER 2007
Dear Praying Friends,
Greetings from Welkom! Lately, I have been laid up in bed trying to keep
bronchitis from turning into pneumonia. There is so much going on and so
many sacrifices being made for "our kids" and my "sacrifice" seems to be
"stay put in bed." Needless to say, I have been a rather "glum chum."
Then the LORD has the audacity to point me to Psalm 146. "Praise The
LORD! Praise the LORD O my soul!" (v.1) OUCH! But I guess I needed
that reminder. Even though I don't feel much like it, it would be a sin
not to share with you the blessings that just keep rolling our way. "HOW
BLESSED is he whose help is the God of Jacob. Whose hope is in the LORD
his God!" Psalm 146:5.
HOW BLESSED! Recently, we have become an approved Trust in South Africa.
This trust is called Restore Trust and now makes it possible for us to
receive contributions and land tax free in South Africa. The Lord has
also provided a very godly South African bookkeeper, and 3 godly men,
which is vital in this particular work.
HOW BLESSED! Since Restore Trust is now official, we have been able to
come to an agreement with Harmony Gold Ltd to acquire about 17 acres of
land plus five buildings. This agreement or lease is a "rent to buy
agreement" and it is a very reasonable agreement. We are renting the
property for about $30.00 per month with the option to buy at any time
for about $21,400.00! This is the procedure we must go through to have
our property subdivided from the gold mine's vast holdings. The LORD is
good, tell it wherever you go!
HOW BLESSED! We WERE going to ask you to pray for about $17,000.00 to
put up fencing, BUT our Lord has graciously provided that need. In fact,
our Lord has recently provided FIFTY ONE THOUSAND US DOLLARS MORE toward
the refurbishing of our first building! It is a sizeable double story
building and it should provide for 3 apartments upstairs, 2 apartments
downstairs, plus a multipurpose room for church services, Bible seminars
and a learning center for "our kids." We will be able to house our kids
as future students of Dunamis Christian school.
PRAY that our Lord will move 10 individuals, or 10 churches to provide
say TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS each. This should complete the refurbishing
of BUILDING A (about $100,000.00). Don't miss an important point, our
Lord will not over look any gift toward the care of His kids! Amen?
Amen!
HOW BLESSED to be a "Father to the fatherless" and even far greater to
see them come to know God as their own heavenly Father. PRAY for Abigail
who is pregnant with child and yet earnestly called on Christ to save her
soul. PRAY for our Tsumi who eagerly looks for answers in the Bible.
Tsumi (13) has been deserted by his drunken father and left to guard
their tin shack. The other night heavy winds blew the roof off of his
shack and there he sat.... soaking wet. NO CHILD IS A THROW AWAY CHILD
TO JESUS, or to us! The roof has since been repaired. Michael (21) was
put out on the road in the rain. His mattress ruined. We have now
provided a room for him in one of the buildings and helped to make it as
"homey" as possible. Every day, he shovels and piles up debris in this
building to be hauled away. He is looking forward to his "home" at
Restore Ministries. PRAY for the safety of our security staff who guard
our property night and day. PRAY for Pastor Gama, who is constantly
threatened as our day shift guard ( not to mention the guys doing
nights). Gama so looks forward to studying at one of our future pastor's
seminars.
Finally, is our Lord serious about the well being of His kids? If you
might be doubtful, please reread our letter. I know I probably
will...several times until I'm by this bronchitis set back. Thanks so
very very much for being a part of GOD'S BLESSING on His kids. Believe
me your blessing is yet to come!!! See Math. 19:29.
In His love & service,
Jake & Sandy
